Custom License Plates at IPMI2019 Expo for SKIDATA
Custom License Plates were A PERFECT trade show tie in.
License plates for trade shows is one of our specialties.
We recently had the privilege of making license plates in the trade show booth of SKIDATA, the world market leader in access and revenue management, at the International Parking and Mobility Institutes annual convention and expo (#IPMI2019). It was held at the Anaheim Convention Center right next to Disneyland in California.
While you may have never heard of SKIDATA (we hadn’t) it’s likely that you’ve used their products as their software and hardware is the backbone of major parking facilities for cities, universities, airports (DFW, ATL, PHX) and more. If you’ve ever parked a vehicle in a place that charges you for it – chances are good that SKIDATA has been a part of that experience.
One of their products provides license plate recognition (LPR) for the parking industry. This allows people to pay for their parking by license plate, and as they approach the gate their plate is recognized, the arm lifts and a customer is happily on their way. It’s really cool.
It was a perfect tie in for us to make customized license plates for guests stopping by the SKIDATA booth. We found that many of the vendors at this conference were also partners with our client, so we got to visit with a lot of fun people (We were told “We’re parking people – we bring the party” by one lady!), who visited with sales staff and took home a souvenir from the booth.
Guests were “PKG KING” and “PKG QUEEN” and all variations of this, and many people took home license plates for their children.
Custom branded and personalized license plates!
All license plates were branded with a custom background, company info and photos of their newest product for the parking industry – so everyone took home a permanent reminder of the products that they had to offer and tied it in with a personal touch of having their name or other personalization on the plates.
You can be sure that these custom license plates, with the client’s name and images on them, will be posted in offices around the country as a constant reminder of their relationship with SKIDATA.
